My name is Matt Campagna and I make westerns.

But not your father’s westerns. I do love Sergio Leone, so these are a little bit Fistful of Dollars, but a little bit Firefly and a little bit Sin City as well.

I’ve also been making web series since before YouTube was invented. Some for distributors like the Food Network, others in partnership with Dailymotion, Blip and YouTube.

And now I want to bring my knowledge and experience in both areas together with your help.

I need a lot of views to get funding to make the rest of SIX DAY ROAD.

I mean A LOT.

So please share SIX DAY ROAD episode zero, engage in conversation here and on and if you’d like, reach out to me; I love to talk westerns!

After the enormous undertaking of GENESI, Matt wanted to make a small, self-contained short film. He failed. As usual, when writing, the story spiralled into a 7-part epic anthology dealing with religion, the end of the world, and the devil himself.

Matt’s first feature-length film was made in an unorthadox way: as an interactive television model shot 90% on a green-screen stage. Recognizing the fact that some people want a lean-forward interactive experience, somewhere between a video game and movie, and that others still want to flick on the DVD player and do nothing, Genesi: The First Key was a designed to be a flash-based character-oriented interactive television model allowing a viewer to select one of seven characters at the outset of the film, and experience that character as the protagonist of the story. Afterward, selecting another of the characters would drastically change the impression of the very same events, making motivations clear and creating a viewing experience where the audience is not told who the ‘good guy’ or ‘bad guy’ is, and let to decide for themselves.
