Even as the model of Tradition Network Television goes the way of AM Radio to make way for WebTV, the stigma remains of picky Broadcast gatekeepers that decide what makes it onto Television, and what stays on YouTube for your dad to chuckle at when he’s surfing the web. So when a legacy-broadcaster does pick up a television show, or want to bring a web series to the TV screen, there is a certain amount of old-school credibility that comes with that endorsement from traditional media.
