D.N.E.: Do Not Erase – In Memory of Richard Hatch

It’s a sad day when we mark the passing of a dear friend.

And so, it is with a heavy heart that my colleagues on this project, Kevin Grazier, Rudy Jahchan, Nar Williams and Bear McCreary, send our favourite Battlestar Galactica Viper Pilot-turned-Politician, Richard Hatch, to the Lords of Kobol.

In memory of our friend, we have at long last posted his up-to-now unreleased film, “D.N.E.: Do Not Erase”, for all to finally see.

Watch Richard’s Award-Winning performance as The Caretaker in “D.N.E.: Do Not Erase” on Amazon Prime or on Dailymotion.

And to give you a small taste, here’s the trailer:

We hope you enjoy these beautiful moments that we captured of Richard, his indomitable exuberance, and his eternal optimism.

We’ll miss you Richard,

“RENAISSANCE” A New Sci-Fi Thriller

I’m excited to announce that I’m directing a wild new scifi film starring incredible actors like Katie Boland (Reign, The Master), Lara Jean Chorostecki (Hannibal, XCompany) and Bobbie Phillips (X-Files, Showgirls) that will be finding its way into festivals later this year!

Written by Rogan Christopher and set in present day, “Renaissance” is a science fiction thriller that asks how far people will go bring back someone they love.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: “When an accidental death forces two researchers to create a clone of the deceased in a desperate effort to restore life to the way it was. As the clone assimilates the modern world, unforeseen effects propel it out of control.”

With some of the coolest set pieces I’ve ever worked with, the most magnificent lenses I’ve ever shot with, as well as a legendary, super-secret, genre-favourite cast member yet to be announced, “Renaissance” is the kind of project that genre directors like me dream about.

There will be a very sexy trailer coming shortly, so stay tuned!

Mutant World Canadian TV Premiere

Mutant World enjoyed a packed festival premiere at the Calgary International Film Festival in the fall, and now that SyFy has aired the film, Superchannel is host to the Canadian premiere to bring Mutant World back home.

There was a great write-up in the Calgary Herald to celebrate the Superchannel premiere, and now if you want to catch it on TV, be sure to pop over to Superchannel before February 7th:

HUNTER’S MOON – A Werewolf Thriller

It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to direct an indie genre film that I also wrote on… the last one was a Western, and I’m happy to announce that the next one is a thriller in a wonderful classic monster genre that is close to my heart: the Werewolf!

Hunter’s Moon takes place when a lavish launch party for the mobile gaming app ‘Werewolves Awaken’ is interrupted by a priest cursing the game as the devil’s work… but the party-goers are convinced that the religious man is just a publicity stunt for more press. Until they find the body for the first victim. One by one, the remaining survivors are convinced that something terrible is happening in their midst, but when some believe that a supernatural evil is responsible, paranoid divisions in the group drive them to each other’s throats. At the moment the true beast reveals itself, their lives become a heart-pounding race for survival of the fittest.

The cast is shaping up to be the best I’ve ever worked with, and the crew working with me behind the scenes are nothing short of top notch.

www.HuntersMoonFilm.com is the official site, and
#HuntersMoonFilm is the hashtag we’re using to keep everything easy to find on Twitter and Instagram.

I’ve got no networks or studios to please this time, so this indie is going right for the throat. Best of all, I’ll be videoblogging it the whole way, giving you unrestricted access to all the delicious behind-the-scenes secrets of Hunter’s Moon!

It’s gonna be a hell of a ride, I promise.
